Fused Glass 4 week taster Mornings Course



We will begin with a brief description of what glass fusing is, the types of glass in the studio, tools you will be using and design options available to you. Health and Safety in the studio will be covered.

Learn how to make beautiful and unique pieces of fused and slumped glass in a creative and supportive atmosphere.
Beginners will learn the basic techniques of cutting glass, fusing, slumping. You will learn about the different types of fusing glass available and the subject of compatibility.

There will be the opportunity to explore frits, stringers, mica, millefiore, and use them in your designs.
If you are an advanced student, you will continue to build on your knowledge base.
Each week there will be a different project, the session will be approximately 1.5 hours, so in total over the four weeks it will be 6 hours of tuition.
You can work at your own pace with lots of one to one tutoring available throughout the session.
Your teacher Teresa will let you know when your items are ready to collect, or you can arrange to have your work posted to you at additional cost.
Information on suppliers, tools and materials can be given at the end of the course.

Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 8 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.
