This is the final course in the series starting with First, and then followed by Next Steps in Pen & Ink . It looks in detail at translating relative tone into pen marks and how this all relates to pen texture. Full of useful pieces of drawing theory along with simple exercises, take part live online for our drawing weekend 20-21 March 2021. The course is made up of 2 parts, each of which should take you around 4-5 hours to complete. Everything is presented in logical steps that are easy to follow and also includes additional instructions for students who choose to work digitally.

High quality course notes presented online (using prezi software) including lots of visual images and how-to videos. Zoom sessions 10:00-12:00 and 13:30-15:30 each day. In order that you can have the maximum benefit from this course, all course materials (including recordings of the zoom sessions) are available for you to refer to for up to 3 months after the end of the course.
A good quality cartridge paper sketchbook (140gsm or above), or loose sheets of cartridge paper, 2B pencils, rubber, pigment fine liners (or equivalent) in varying thicknesses.
