About the Course

Five day project based session in which you will restore a piece of furniture. The techniques you learn will depend on what is wrong with your object, but might include dismantling and reassembly, fixing joints, replacing losses with fillers and timber patches, working with veneers, removing and replacing finishes, and repolishing.

This is a small class with maximum flexibility so that we can tailor the session to your needs. You should check that your project is suitable for the course by emailing us beforehand. Nearly all materials are included in the course fee.

Please note, re-upholstery is not included in this session, but if you choose a chair and it is upholstered we may have to remove the upholstery to carry out repairs. Also, it may help to have some woodworking skills.

If you don't have woodworking experience and your project demands them, you will spend the first day developing these skills before we let you loose on your project! This course runs from Tuesday to Saturday inclusive, 10.00am to 4.00pm each day.

If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.

What's included in the price?

Most materials and use of tools.
