Response from The Painted Desk at Packhouse, Surrey:Thank so much for your super lovely review, it really does mean a lot.
Good luck with all your painting projects!
Take care Nyree x
Perfect workshop for the beginner! Thanks to Nyree I now have the confidence to tackle lots of pieces of furniture that I would like to paint, distress, white wash etc. We practised on smaller pieces and got information and our trial pieces to take away with us. Nice small group of 6 and all friendly. Highly recommend!

Even though I'm not very good at anything 'Arty' I did learn painting techniques which I am going to try at home.
Thank you Nyree.

Thank you Nyree for a really enjoyable course, it was invigorating , very informative, fun and relaxing. Loved learning about the paint and how easy it was to use it. Can't wait to start on some of my projects, you have inspired me to have the confidence to go for it. Once again thank you.
By the way my sister in law at lavender house was well impressed.
Keep painting .👍🏻💙

I thoroughly enjoyed the course and loved being able to use the paints to see the true colours. It was great to mess about and experiment with them. This is vital with paint as its so difficult to know the exact shades that come out and what colours blend together. I would love to have more lessons on other types of painting. I feel I need some advice on the nest of tables I am painting and follow up lessons would be an advantage.
I found it very enjoyable and the teacher was excellent!!!

I’m a complete beginner but Nyree managed to fill me with enthusiasm and confidence to start on transforming my old furniture in such a short space of time. Her workshop covers all the essential techniques and with a small group size ensures it feels very personal.

Chrissy and I had a great morning learning paint techniques from Nyree who is an excellent and inspirational teacher. It was good fun meeting and working alongside the other ladies in the group too and I can't believe we learned so much in such a short time. I feel confident enough to have a go at some tired bits of furniture at home and see what happens! Do let us know if you ever want to do a follow-up tutorial, Nyree.

Many Thanks for an excellent course. It certainly did what it said on the tin! I feel really motivated to improve my furniture. I am impressed that my one unanswered question was followed up - its not often that happens. I would recommend this course and hope to hear about an advanced module.

I wanted to say a big Thank You to you for a very enjoyable day. I know my wife enjoyed it too and it was relaxing, informative, fun and educational and has inspired both of us to just "have a go".
As you know, she is the "crafty" one in our home and it was just great for me to join her for an event, something to do as a couple and definitely something we will both do in the future. We got some paint etc from the Packhouse so we're all set.
Thanks for making me so welcome and I'm so glad I came along.

I absolutely loved this workshop. Nyree was an excellent tutor, ensuring we had a complete understanding of chalk paint and the paint techniques and taught us using quality products. The workshop far exceeded my expectations, I couldn't wait to get started on my many projects! Money well worth spending. Would happily do it all over again for the social side and idea exchange!

I'd been wanting to paint some dark old pieces of furniture and this course gave me the confidence to tackle them. We were told the best paint to use and the different techniques that would give you a classy, 'distressed' finish.
The course was very hands on and we got to try each technique. It was friendly and we all swapped ideas and discussed what we were planning to do.
Nyree was a great teacher and clearly enjoys her craft. She showed us pictures of some of the wonderful pieces she has created. I'd recommend it to anyone.
