About the Course
Come along to one of our fun and friendly workshops to learn a variety of Furniture Painting Techniques (Basic Level 1 and Intermediate Level 2 - please see dates for each below) and leave with the skills and inspiration to continue further projects at home.
10am to 3pm (5 hours) and ideal for beginners and intermediates. A small group of no more than 6, therefore one to one instruction possible for much of the time.
(Tues 26th Feb, Sat 16th March, Fri 26th April, Sat 18th May, Tues 11th June, Sat 13th July, Tues 6th Aug, Sat 7th Sept, Tues 15th Oct, Sat 16th Nov)
The first section of the workshop will be a step by step instruction on a variety of techniques incl. prep, painting, crackling, dry brushing, distressing, two colour, stencilling and finishing when you will be able to experiment with colours, brushes and techniques and ask as many questions as you would like. Full workshop notes also provided.
If you have a small piece of furniture you've had lying around for far too long which you'd like to transform into a beautiful, elegant piece, then bring it along and try out your new learned skills during the second part of the course. Ideal for people who have a basic idea of furniture painting, or those who have attended Level 1. You will learn a variety of techniques including glazing, raised stencilling, transfer/decoupage, blending and foiling, creating your own board to take home with you on the day. Full workshop notes also provided.

What's included in the price?
All paints, tools, materials and painting boards. Includes a lovely cakes, biscuits and tea/ coffee throughout the day. Please bring some lunch with you.
Free parking is available in the car park across the road from the Village Hall.
Please come in comfortable clothing which you don't mind getting marked or please bring an apron. Also please wear comfortable shoes.
