All of our woodwork and furniture making courses encompass the key principles of cabinet making and utilise Dan's extensive knowledge of his career in the luxury bespoke furniture industry. Regardless of your skill level or experience, the aim of every course is to leave you full of confidence when creating your own projects.
The course for you: If you are looking to improve your furniture making skills to a professional standard.
What is covered: You will produce a beautiful three legged stool out of solid timber using a range of essential cabinet making techniques;
Hand routing mortice joints using a jig
Hand cutting tenon joints
Tapering legs using a hand plane
Accurate sanding and gluing
Profiling solid timber with the use of a router table
Finishing selection and application
Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 4 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.
We strongly encourage you to bring along your own tools if you have them, however all tools and equipment are provided for use on every course. Ear defenders and dust masks are available where required.
All Course days are run from 9am to 5pm.
Hot and cold drinks are provided, please bring your own packed lunch and snacks. Accommodation is not included, however there are many lovely places to stay locally around Denbigh.
Group sizes are deliberately kept small (2 to 4 people per course) so that each person gets the most out of their time with us. Open communication and questions are welcomed at all stages and time can be taken to focus on any areas that need strengthening without detracting from the course schedule.
