De-mystifying this ancient and intriguing technique we will make a Bracelet with Pearlescent beads inside, finished off professionally with a lobster clasp.
Some of you may remember French Knitting as a child, using a cotton reel with nails and rainbow wool perhaps?
With over 10 years of teaching and perfecting these specialist wire techniques I will give you tips and tricks that you won’t find in any books.
You will need good hand-skills and patience for this class.
We will cover the following tasks on the day:
• how to cast on and work stitches using your spool
• how to add beads into the centre of the knitting as you go
• how to knit small beads into individual stitches
• how to fasten off and add a clasp or ear hooks
Any time left over and we will make Earrings incorporating seed beads into individual stitches.
I make a point of setting one-day projects where you will leave with a finished piece - and keep my class sizes small so no-one is left struggling on their own.
The really great thing about these techniques is that you can carry on at home - armed only with a crochet hook, your wooden reel, some wire and a few beads.
If you will be redeeming a CraftCourses gift voucher on this course, the voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
