The Fashion Box has listened to your feedback and requests, and our "Freestyle" sewing sessions are back!
Bring along any project to work on, this may include clothing alterations, garment making, pattern reading, pattern cutting or customisation!
You may have attended our Clone your Clothes workshop, and now want to come and sew up your garments!
If you are wanting to bring and learn about alterations, then please remember that you will need to allow time in the day for unpicking your garments, so it advisable to book a full day.
You will need to bring anything you need to complete your garment / project, this could be new zips, buttons, new lining fabrics etc.
Our Freestyle sessions are now for either a full day or a half day, please see our other listings to book the full day option.
Please note: This is not one-to-one teaching. You must have used a sewing machine before and / or have completed our Introduction to sewing workshop previously.
This is not suitable for complete beginners.
The class size will be a maximum of 5 people.
Your safety is important to us!
We will now be reducing the size of the workshop from 10 people to 4-5 people per class, to adhere to the social distancing measures. As we are reducing the class numbers, it is important that students adhere and respect our cancellation policy, until we can get business back to normal, and teach at the required capacity.
On entering, we will have sanitiser stations for you to to freshen up. All machinery, sewing stations, and tools you will be using, will be sanitised before you arrive, and between each session.
At your sewing station you will also have sanitiser wipes, should you feel you need to use them.
Our lavatories are communal, but they will be supplied with santiser wipes, hand wash and disposable towels

If you are doing alterations, you may want to contact the studio, providing pictures and an explanation of what you want to achieve.
