With friends or family, hen party or social gathering, get together and book my private Cyanotype Printing Workshop! It's a lovely way to spend a creative couple of hours and is suitable for beginners. This process is beautiful and you will be amazed what you can produce in 2hrs. You will go home with a selection of lovely botanical blueprints that would be perfect for framing.
This light-sensitive printing technique was used in the 19th century by architects, engineers and scientists to copy drawings. By mixing Ferric Ammonium Citrate and Potassium Ferricyanide with sunlight, beautiful (Prussian) blue images are created. It is a really magical process, leaving people amazed and excited with their results. (Chemicals are odourless and harmless when used under normal conditions).
In my workshops, you will learn how to light-sensitise paper, place objects on top, such as leaves, grasses and feathers and then expose to light to create beautiful blue botanical photogram prints.
I prefer to use natural light and outdoor space for the workshop so I am reliant on the weather; April through to October is when I like to work.
and workshops are run on demand and will very much depend on a fine day.
Please book a few days before the scheduled date so that we can make sure the weather is going to be right.

A friend and I book this course whilst on holiday. We both loved the course.
Angela was very informative and offered help and encouragement through out the two hours.
We both came away with some lovely examples of cyanotype printing and will definitely do more from home.
The process is very do able at home when added with Angels excellent teaching.
A very enjoyable way to spend 2 hours.
