About the Course
1 day course held in the lovely Wolds village of Wilberfoss near to the beautiful city of York. You may want to spend time visiting some of the sights in York when you leave after the days' painting.
My aim in holding acrylic and watercolour courses is to enable people of all abilities to explore, enjoy and try out different techniques and mediums.
The day begins at 10.00am creating texture on paper or canvas using acrylic. We use brushes, palette knives, and even fingers or household materials to achieve exciting results. Colour plays an important part as well as how we handle the paints, be it wet into wet or impasto. If you have any brusho, wax crayons or watercolour sticks, as well as acrylic please bring them as they could be a part of the process to help you to achieve a finished piece of work to take home and hang onto your wall.
The group will be small to allow for individual attention. However I do insist on everyone having an enjoyable time with lots of fun and maybe forming lasting friendships. We will break for a light lunch around 1.00 and finish at 3.00pm
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
What's included in the price?
A small amount of additional materials to create texture, light refreshments .
Shirley is an excellent teacher; very patient and knows her stuff. I really enjoyed this day and was also very pleasantly surprised at what I learned and was able to achieve during the day. Highly recommended.
