About the Course

The first in the series of sensory nature craft workshop days is Flavours of autumn, based around the wild foods outdoors in autumn.

The day will start with a short foraging walk to gather blackberries, elderberries and other wild foods, then after coffee/tea and homemade seasonal cakes, there will be a 2-hour preserving and pickling workshop with chef, baker and forager Hannah from Herbs & Wild.
Hannah will demonstrate how to make a seasonal foraged jam, medlar liqueur, cordial and pickles and then you will get to make a jar of elderberry liqueur to take home, along with a booklet of great recipes.

After a delicious autumnal, wild-food based veggie lunch prepared by Hannah, we will learn how to carve a jam and chutney spoon from wood with the lovely James from JEM Woodcraft. You will get to take home a beautiful handmade spoon to serve your homemade jams and chutneys with or to give as a gift.

If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.

What's included in the price?

Tea, coffee, homemade cakes and seasonal wild-food inspired lunch.
