About the Course
In this exciting course artist Thomas Plunkett will be demonstrating and teaching his innovative watercolour techniques as well as showing how to create confident and dynamic watercolours using the beautiful surroundings of Flatford Mill and its locality as primary observation.
Those attending the course will be taught a range of traditional and more innovative watercolour techniques using a range of materials and subject matter. Students will finish the course with a body of work in this most beautiful of mediums and a full range of new techniques to use in their own work.
Course tutor: Thomas Plunkett
Thomas Plunkett studied Fine Art and English Literature at the University of Chester and a PGCE in Art and Design at The UCL Institute of Education,University of London. Thomas is a highly experienced teacher of art and watercolour and drawing techniques and teaches many workshops throughout the year. Thomas has taught workshops for the Royal Watercolour Society, The Society of East Anglian Watercolorists and Cambridge District Art Circle.
What to Bring
Watercolours (pans or tubes)
Various sized brushes, wax crayons or oil pastels
An old fountain pen with washable black cartridge ink
Students are also encouraged to bring anything else they would normally use in the creation of their own work (if they wish)
