About the Course
Tunisian crochet is an intriguing combination of knitting and crochet, which is a fun alternative to both, and easy to pick up. Join this afternoon workshop to learn the basic technique and begin a straightforward project - either a cosy cowl or a cushion cover in one of two stitch patterns.
Suitable for complete beginners, although some previous knowledge of knitting or crochet would probably help.
A £10 deposit is required to secure your place, payable no later than a week before the event.
A variety of other knitting and crochet courses are also available on different dates.
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
What's included in the price?
Refreshments: Tea/coffee, biscuits and jelly babies are included.
Materials: yarn for this workshop and the Tunisian crochet hook are included in the price.
Getting there: The nearest parking is in the Central car park, just a short walk from the Mill. Fisherton Mill is close to Salisbury railway station.
Access: Born to knit is reached by a staircase. We regret that The Mill has no disabled access to the first floor.
Fisherton Mill is the largest independent Gallery complex in the south and has an onsite, award winning, Cafe on the ground floor. The Gallery Café's varied menu changes to suit the seasons and the recipes often use fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Pop in for a coffee, a cup of tea and a piece of cake, or something more substantial either before or after your workshop.
There is always something delicious to choose from - for lunch, try a generously filled sandwich or something warm, such as some hearty soup in winter, or a healthy salad in the summer, all washed down with a glass of wine, some elderflower or home-made minty limeade.
Course dates are flexible; please get in touch for the next available date.
