About the Course

The workshops are run by Francesca Mclean, who is a freelance designer/illustrator who uses modern calligraphy in her professional practice, she recently graduated from Camberwell College of Arts with a Masters in Illustration.

Come along to this workshop and learn the beautiful art of modern calligraphy using ink and nib. The workshop is designed for complete beginners. You will start by understanding the basics of how to use the nib with simple exercises, moving on to writing the alphabet. By the end of the session you will be joining letters and writing words with guidance from Francesca.

The workshops are run for 2 hours with a maximum of 8 people and all materials are provided including a starter kit which you will take home with you.
