First Steps in Photography (Part 1)


Learn all about your digital camera, then step outside and use it!

This workshop will teach you how to use your digital camera to its fullest potential. You will gain a complete understanding of the how, why, when, where and what of the Art of Photography. Composition, techniques, aesthetics, and an appreciation of the work of other photographers and how it can relate to your own, will all be covered.

The workshop will begin in the "classroom" and extend into the local environment - the beautiful grounds of Kingshill House. We will focus on using your new found knowledge to photograph the natural environment.

Please bring with you:
A digital SLR/ Bridge camera with "Manual" mode and a basic knowledge of the camera "layout" to save time looking for knobs, dials/switches etc!
A laptop or similar device will be needed to upload your photographs and learn how to perform simple editing tasks to enhance the finished images.

Please note this workshop cost includes a booking and admin fee.

Refunds are not available on this booking. Start dates may be amended on request.
