Finishing School for Knitters, Learn to Knit with Fiona Drake, Ilkley



Is your knitting still in a project bag? Dreading sewing it together? Are you wondering how to finish your knitting project? Then this workshop is for you.

Finishing your beautifully knitted project is usually the part that knitters hate, but it needn’t be a chore. In this workshop you will learn about: blocking (how and why), seaming, mattress stitch, grafting and crocheting seams together.

This workshop includes an instruction booklet and a little container of finishing tools to keep.

Attendees must be able to knit, cast on and cast off.

Taught by knitwear designer Fiona Drake.

Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.

What's included in the price?


Size 4 mm straight knitting needles

2 x DK squares garter stitch (knit every row)

2 x DK squares Stocking stitch (knit 1 row, purl 1 row)

Each 20 stitches by 22 rows on 4mm needles.

All other materials and yarn are provided.
