Tutor will also give short talks and screen excerpts of films to illustrate examples. You will explore different techniques and approaches to conduct and record an interview at a professional level. The tutor will guide you through the stages of pre-production, production and post-production to produce a short interview.
There will be an emphasis on group work and sharing knowledge and experience through practical exercises and group discussion. The tutor will facilitate group discussions, and work with students in groups.

What you need to know before you enrol
Learning will take place in classroom and additional locations (e.g. college premises, exterior locations). You will need a moderate level of fitness to carry and use cameras, and set up equipment such as tripods. You will also be working in groups therefore it is essential to work harmoniously as part of a team.
What you will need for your class
You do not need to bring your own camera to class as the college will provide all necessary equipment for exercises and projects. However you can bring your own camera and tripod but please bear in mind that it is advisable that you know the basic operations of your own camera as the tutor will prioritise his time on class exercises and explaining the equipment already available in college. You will also have access to Apple Mac computers during the class.
