About the Course
This is turning life drawing into scultpture!
Under the tutor’s guidance, students will concentrate on developing the relationship between the life model and the clay material whilst considering shape and form, proportion, planes and the tactile quality and handling of clay.
The day will start with small clay studies directly from life.
The consideration of accuracy of observation and measurement will be looked at in relation to the various poses.
Students will also develop ways of sculpting and mark-making with the tools provided.
This day of exploration will culminate in a final clay sculpture to take home, or that can be fired and glazed for a small fee.
Suitable for all abilities, where students will develop at their own pace in a relaxed, creative space.
You will discover and practice new techniques with expert guidance from international selling Artist Heather Burwell.
You will be supported in developing your own style and will benefit from Artshed's creative atmosphere, with a great group of like minded people as well as receiving one-2-one attention from your tutor.
Age Group: 16yrs+
