Field to vase sustainable flower arranging workshop

Description

Cut your own gorgeous seasonal fresh flowers from the flower field and create your own, garden gathered style vase arrangement.

In this workshop you will take a brief tour of the flower field and hear about the progress of this year’s blooms. You’ll then be shown how to carefully cut the stems for the best flowers whilst minimising the impact on the growing plant. When your bucket [provided] is full of wonderful blooms we’ll head back inside* to arrange them.

*In fine weather we may stay outside to arrange.

Following a demonstration, you will arrange your cut flowers using a hand tied method, before styling them in the vase provided.

Throughout the workshop, emphasis will be placed on sustainable practice.

This workshop will take place partially / fully outside so please come dressed appropriately in warm layers and sturdy footwear.

Please bring a pair of sharp scissors or secateurs, though we will have spares, and an apron if you have one.
