Festive Punch Needle Workshop, Ilkley - extra class 2-5pm
Description
Our seasonal punch needle class is your entrée to an easy to learn, immensely satisfying craft that is limited only by your imagination. So let it run free and create your own festive artwork in this half day class. You will have access to a wide range of colourful yarns and will learn to create a variety of textures to give your project depth. You will start with a practice using four different types of punch needle tool and four different types of fabric. Once you know what works best for you, you’ll move onto a bigger piece with a good knowledge of the technique. If you’ve caught the bug and can’t wait to keep going there’ll be a variety of tools available to buy so you can keep going at home. For absolute beginners and artists looking for a new medium to learn in good company. - Suitable for 16+.

We specialise in haberdashery and needlecrafting materials and workshops, with an international reputation for stocking over 10,000+ different button designs. Our classes are held in a beautiful beamed room at the top of our medieval building in York and in the Yorkshire town of Ilkley in a converted Victorian double-fronted shop. They are taught by practicing designers and makers with considerable expertise in (and passion for) their respective crafts, and considerable teaching experience.
