About the Course

Wet felt-making is the oldest form of textile & is a magical craft. Wool and silk fibres when damp and rubbed together will bond irreversibly forming an exciting and organic fabric. Catherine will show you how to felt a flower shape from scratch and assemble it by yourself - from laying down wool and silk fibres right through to embellishing with felted balls and beads. She demonstrates and you follow! Choose from over 50 beautiful shades, each item is completely unique in every way. The finished item can be used as a brooch, hair pin, fascinator or hat decoration. Suitable for all abilities age 14 upwards. Depending how quickly you felt as everyone works differently, you can complete 2 floral pins.

Note this workshop takes place in Catherine's home studio - she lives with her husband in a converted Victorian Church which they share with 2 cats. They can be shut on while working.
