Felting in the Field- Make a wet-felted bag in the beautiful Gloucestershire countryside

Learn how to make a lovely pocket sized bag using a variety of felting techniques. We will set up camp under a tree (and marquee depending on the weather) in the field and enjoy the views of the hills while we felt. You will begin by processing local wool by hand using carding techniques with a specialised drum carder and hand carders. Then you will learn how to wet felt a flat picture, experimenting with colour and designs. I can give you inspiration and ideas if you are a bit stuck! While we wait for the felt to dry we can enjoy lunch- please bring your own. I will supply tea and cake! After lunch, we will add any extra detail using simple needle-felting techniques and then sew the bag together and add a strap.
