About the Course
Use merino fleece and angelina fibre to produce a gorgeous landscape scene. Utilise all manner of textile skills to create a hanging or felted piece to display.
The course is lead by Lorna Miller:
Lorna Miller trained in BA Hons in Crafts; Wood, Metal, Ceramics & Textiles with Manchester Metropolitan University. She enjoys working as a mixed media textile artist, alongside leading the A level course in Art:Textiles at Barton Peveril College, which she has done for the last 20 years.
She creates an eclectic mix of relief and sculptural textile pieces, often inspired by memory and sentiment. Lorna works both figuratively and abstractly, whereby free machine and hand stitch is used as a means to draw, shade, darn and more recently to produce a fabric in its entirety.
Her work with collage and assemblage techniques combines with machine and hand embroidery to create innovative, subtle surfaces.
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above or telephone us. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
