About the Course

Gotland fleece is exceptional! This is a rare opportunity to purchase a fleece 'in-the-grease' and felt it to make a fabulously soft and gloriously curly rug.

Our day starts at 10.00am (coffee from 9.30am if you want to come earlier). We'll prepare our fleeces first, and then felt them on the reverse, using hot soapy water to speed up the process- and this cleans the fleece at the same time. Once the felt is stable, we'll use the rolling machine to do all the hard work!

This workshop is suitable for all levels of felt makers: places are limited to 3 people for each workshop. Felt in the Factory is a full equipped, specialist felt making studio with everything you'll need to have a wonderful day.

If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above or telephone us. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.

What's included in the price?

The cost includes the wool for the backing, but the fleece is extra: prices start at £35. Refreshments will be available all day, but participants need to bring their own lunch and there will be a list of a few simple requirements such as soap, bubblewrap, old towel.
