Felted Quirky Bird with Ruth Packham

X

Description

A day spent designing and making your very own felted quirky bird with Ruth Packham. Each bird goes through a number of processes and so you will learn about needle felting and wet felting techniques during the day. There will be a sumptuous array of dyed Cambrian Mountains and British wool fibres to choose from to decorate your bird. A day of playing and laughing as you give your bird character then spend hours massaging it with soapy water. From feet to beak you will create your very own unique felted quirky bird sculpture up to around 20cm tall. Ruth is an authority on quirky birds and is always delighted to be made aware of a new species! You don't need any previous felting experience just a bit of confidence in your own ability and a good sense of humour... and the usual ability to sit for a few hours and eyesight good enough to cope with small detail is helpful.

What's included in the price?

One day of professional felting tuition from Ruth Packham. A spacious work area is allocated to each student along with their own set of tools to use while they’re here.
