About the Course

During this workshop we will experiment & explore a variety of methods employing tying, wrapping & stitching techniques as used in Shibori Dyeing.

Whilst we will not be dying our felt we will achieve exciting textural & sculptural results using these methods.

You can choose to make a collection of samples or create a wallhanging using a patchwork of shibori techniques or a Shibori Vessel. I will have various templates you can choose from along with lots of samples to give you ideas. I will demonstrate each method step by step, which you can then use on your own piece of felt.

You will go home with a collection of stitched & wrapped samples, Wallhanging or Vessel that you will be able to reveal by removing the threads once dry at home. An exciting relaxing process of stitching & tying combined with traditional wet felting. Once dry at home you can embellish further with stitch or beads.

A deposit of £25 secures your place
