Course Length: 5 hours over one day
5 star rating, 7 reviewers.
This course will be held in Appleby Hub in Appleby in Westmorland and is for experts and beginners. I will show you how to create a wonderfully wooly warm pair of slippers fitted to your own feet.
We will employ the wet felting method of felting using colourful merino fleece dyed with non toxic dye from a choice of several beautiful colours. This method is very easy but does require some elbow grease!
Stage by stage I will show you all you need to know on how to tease out the fibres, agitate them and fix them with soap and water so that they will last for many years to come. You will be delighted with the speed and ease in which you can make them. There will be no sewing.
Using the method demonstrated on the day, I willl show you how to make these wonderful slippers for any size so that you will have a valuable resource for the future for making fabulous gifts for family and friends.
Debra has taught over 2000 people in her ten years of felt making and also draws upon her expertise from being a Psychology Lecturer previously. Debra's teaching methods are very relaxed and in a calming therapeutic environment.
