About the Course
This fun workshop teaches you how to make a piece of flat felt using the wet felt technique. See the magic unfurl from merino fibre to fabric.
The groups are kept small so that everyone gets plenty of space to work in and expert one to one tuition. By the end of the session you will have made a piece of felt, which you can then turn into something beautiful for the home, plenty of ideas will be given at the class on how to use your felt.
I have over 35 years of experience in textiles, mainly felting, crochet, knitting and spinning. I am also a florist and you will find many flower and plant influences within my work. You will be sure to get lots of inspiration from your day and hopefully tempt you to explore the craft further.
I also run day courses, which teach further felting techniques, such as resist work, and nuno felting. If you are interested in any of my courses, or would like to ask questions please feel free to email me or visit my website for more information.
Please note that felt making requires a bit of physical exertion, so if you have problems with your hands, back, or elbows, please message me so we can chat about what it entails.
