About the Course

The class is in Debra's studio, which is in a bright, inspirational and spacious old church. You will learn how to create stunning pieces of textural felt art, using a wonderful selection of merino wool (over 120 colours), silks of all kinds and colours, different breeds of wool as well as other fibres. Debra is extremely generous with her materials and skills and will introduce you to every imaginable way of incorporating different textures and processes into your art work.

You will come away with at least two, usually 3 pieces of work, where you will experiment and understand how fibres go together in the process of felt making. Every one is always amazed at the standard they achieve in such a short space of time and it is always in an atmosphere of fun and abundant creativity. Debra has taught over 2000 students many of whom are now successfully exhibiting their art.

You can be a complete beginner to art or an established artist in other mediums, all are accomodated in this class. If you have special needs please contact Debra as she has many years of experience in working with disabilities and her studio is serviced by a disabled lift and toilet facilities.

I have now attended 2 workshops with Debra. I am an enthusiastic but inexperienced felter. The confidence and knowledge gained from Debra is wonderful. Debra is a very generous teacher.
There are so many resources to use in her workshop and the space created by all the wonderful felt art on the walls and boxes and boxes of wool, silks and ribbons is really inspirational.
Thank you Debra for another really good day yesterday. I'm thrilled with the pieces I made and look forward to joining you again soon.

A wonderful day of creativity, learning and fun. Being given a huge selection of wools, silks and ribbons alongside huge amounts of enthusiasm and support from Debra ensured that even I produced 2pieces of work that I am pleased to show to family and friends! The Hub is a fabulous learning environment thank you Debra!

I would like to say many thanks for classes! I learnt a lot from Debra. I love the way she teach and how much time she dedicate for every single student to show them what need to be done or direct them in right way. I appreciate her dedication and will to share with students a lot of fascinating knowledge! I'm delighted with my pixie shoes and lot of inspirations that now I have in my head! For sure I'll recomend this classes to others.

Once again thank you Debra!
