Background Information: Faux wood graining is an ancient technique that remains incredibly versatile to this day. As with many paint effect techniques, this skill is gradually being lost to time. With this course I aim to share my knowledge and experience in the hope these skills will live on. On this course you will learn how to recreate a faux oak wood graining effect. You will have access to the online material for as long as your account remains active, allowing you to practice & perfect this skill before moving on to larger projects. The tutorials are carefully designed and structured for people of all abilities. You will start by learning how to prepare your sample board and mix the different paints and glazes required for this paint effect. You will then build up the wood graining effect layer by layer before learning how to finish and protect your completed work. With practice and imagination, you will soon be transforming the every day into a work of art.
