A relaxed and inspirational painting class designed to help beginners to get started with painting, whilst also supporting more advanced painters develop their skills and techniques. This is a bespoke service geared to the individuals, using a variety of approaches with oil and acrylic paints. During these classes, Liz….an experienced and enthusiastic tutor will take you through exercises and a series of sketchbook studies to develop your own artistic language and document your learning and serve as inspiration for future development. You will come away from each course with a finished painting on canvas and a lively sketchbook full of ideas. Support is offered via email in between sessions.
Having graduated with a BA in Fine Art, and a PGCE I have continued working in the arts as a practicing artist, and tutor. I taught A level Art and design and life drawing for 30 years, and now run workshops and teach private classes. I am a painter, but love to experiment with textiles too. I use a range of media and have a wide experience of using different materials. Experimentation with media has always been important both to my own practice and the way that I teach art.
This is a quote from one of the participants..... ‘Oh is Liz Goulding good. She is a talented painter, a great teacher and extremely generous with her knowledge. She is really well organised with equipment and source materials and enthused and inspired us all brilliantly. She is unpretentious, direct, modest and has a great sense of humour.’
