About the Course
Join art tutor Nuala Dunn for a weekend of painting in glorious Welsh landscapes. Run by the Field Studies Council at Rhyd-y-Creuau.
The course will enable you to experiment and try out a variety of techniques and approaches with paint and to put these into practice responding intuitively to the landscape. We will work in an exploratory way, with colour, mark making, shape and tone, moving between indoor and outdoor spaces as the weather and our needs dictate. The weekend aims to inspire you to give it a go, loosen up and try new things whilst being supported through your creative process. This course is suitable for both beginners and more experienced artists who wish to have a chance to experiment, and free up their approach.
Nuala Dunn has lived and worked in Snowdonia for the past 25 years, teaching both outdoor activities and arts. She is an active exhibiting landscape painter and works in a variety of media. She will encourage and support you to try new things and reconnect with your creative self.
