Would you like to learn to crochet using the Amigurumi technique? If you aren’t sure – Amigurumi is a Japanese crochet method that is worked in a spiral. The technique is most seen in lovely toys!
Diana will help you create a cuddly bunny (beautifully designed by Lena Seibel) or our teddy (cleverly conceived by Happy Crochet) in beautiful velvet chenille using your colour choice. Perfect as a gift!
So what experience is required? You need to be able to work a Single Crochet (American) or an English Double Crochet, the rest we will cover throughout the day. Unfortunately this is not for a complete beginner.
We continue to be cautious about Covid 19. The Barn is big enough for 6 people to remain at a 2m distance at their own table, although if you are arriving with a friend you may sit together. Sanitizer will be available at each station, and at key points in the building. We ask you to bring a mask and to follow instructions regarding safeguarding. Your refreshments and lunch will be served at your table to avoid unnecessary contact with other members of the group.
Who is Diana Devenish? I am a complete crochet addict (you could say I am hooked). I love making everything from tiny angels to large blankets, and everything in between. I would LOVE to share my passion with you while we make these gorgeous toys in the beautiful setting of Hare Hill Barn.
Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 4 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.
All materials will be supplied, you just need to bring a pair of scissors or a thread snip. We will contact you a few weeks before the day to ask for your choice of colour and project so that we have your materials ready for you.
Refreshments including home cooked cakes and biscuits will be provided throughout the day, and lunch cooked in our farmhouse kitchen will give you the opportunity to discuss your projects as they progress!
