Course Start DatesWednesday 11th March 2020
About the Course
This course offers development using a range of techniques that need a little longer than two or three hours. Each session we will look at the theory behind the processes and discuss firing options. Throughout the course we will use the following methods:
Drop Out Vases and bowls
Melting Pots - Dams
The sessions are one Wednesday a month, 5 sessions within a 6 month period with a free mop up session if one is missed. The course needs to be purchased as a whole mainly to keep things straight forward but also because prep for techniques may happen at different times, i.e. moulds need to be made and dried before they can be filled for casting.
The cost of the course is £65 per session, a total of £325. This includes a £50 credit towards consumables. Firing, reusable moulds, machinery, tools and kiln furniture will be supplied by the studio. Materials and consumables over the kitty amount will be available to be purchased from the studio.
To get the most out of the course prep and plenty of pondering in between sessions will help to focus your time at the studio and create well thought out pieces.
The cost of the course can be paid in two instalments, both payments must be completed by the start of the course.
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
