Description:

If you're ready for your next challenge, come and master the art of entrelac knitting. It's actually quite straightforward when you know how and will impress all your friends. Katy Bevan is an experienced tutor and knitter who will show you how it's done.

Katy Bevan is a curator, writer and educator specialising in knitting and crochet.

She has worked in craft book and magazine publishing for 20 years and writes about the history and art of knitting and textiles for magazines such as Selvedge, The Knitter and Rowan. She also writes a blog at thecrafter.me and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.

Katy believes in the benefits of craft for health and wellbeing and is usually to be found knitting.

You can turn any of our courses into a short break by staying in our on site accommodation. When you book a residential package you will get discounted accommodation in our stylish boutique hostel located in the centre of Cirencester in the cotswolds right next door to New Brewery Arts. Our former 19th Century Cotswold stone brewery barrel store has been beautifully transformed into 21st century accommodation, light and well-appointed with a craftsman’s attention to detail. We offer guest accommodation for up to 43 people over two floors in 14 rooms, with a choice of single, bunk, family and double bedrooms, 12 with en-suite facilities. A ground floor disabled-friendly room is also available. The hostel provides a stylish communal dining and relaxation area, self-catering kitchen, laundry facilities and lockers for your bike. As with all our courses and workshops these are led by experienced tutors and as you will be part of a small group there is plenty of time to focus on you.

You will have access to tea, coffee and biscuits in the studio and a £5 voucher to spend in our cafe is included.
