Last minute unique festive cards to send to to friends and family? This workshop has got you covered! In the workshop, you’ll learn some basic methods of working with encaustic wax using a range of heated craft tools, exploring abstract techniques to create beautiful mini festive scenes. As your confidence grows, you’ll move on to experiment with additional tools like stamps, styluses, scrapers and tissue printing to add texture, depth and unique detail to your artwork. These art pieces can be made into festive cards or pictures to take away for friends and family. Perfect for beginners or advanced encaustic explorers who want to have a festive focus to their creations. This session offers the time and space to experiment, play, learn and create. Please note: this session will show some techniques and examples for beginners, but will also have a looser structure to allow play and experimentation. This also makes the session great for people who have been on other Recreative Encaustic wax workshops and want to experiment with other tools and techniques to grow their skills.
