Encaustic Painting in Cheshire (ancient and traditional techniques)
Contact course provider
About the Course
Encaustic art is an ancient art form. Initially used to repair holes in Greek warships, beeswax became an exciting medium when mixed with pigment.
Your tutor, Debra, has worked with encaustic for over twenty years and is delighted to be able to offer this course at her Cheshire he studio.
By the end of the day you will have learned how to prepare your surfaces, grounds and how to create your own encaustic medium.
You will be shown how to paint, layer and fuse, add inclusions and stamp into the wax.
This course will teach you the more traditional methods rather than with the use of an iron and ready made paints.
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above or telephone us. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
