Enamelled Christmas Decorations with the Cheshire School of Glass

X

Description

Enamelled Christmas decorations. Enamelling is the art of fusing glass onto metal. Fine grains of powdered glass are applied to glass and fused with high heat in a kiln. After the firing process the colours on the metal remain vibrant and never fade. On this exciting and diverse course you will make your very own enamel decorations that will be keepsakes, or even gifts! The immediacy of this technique allows you to take your decorations away on the day. With our enamelling kilns you can watch the glass cook on to metal and melt the glass in front of your very eyes! A very festive and exciting day that is sure to ignite the creative excitement within you! On this festive course you can choose to make from: - A framed winter scene made on a 100mm sq of copper (imagery of your choice and own design with access to our vast archive of patterns) - Some hanging Christmas copper shapes, hand decorated and fired in the kiln by you. (These can be used as charms, earrings, gift tags, festive dog tags, keyring Christmas tree decorations or pendants) - A festive book mark to use in your favourite Christmas read When does the course start and finish?
