Suitable for total beginners or more experienced embroiderers, this course will run at the Badibidu Studio on the edge of The Peaks. A range of embroidery techniques will be covered, including different stitches to create different leaf and petal effects, how to start and finish each flower, how to add beads and more. Spare fabric will be provided to practice stitches. All students will be encouraged to focus on the idea of antiperfection, trying new things and enjoying the process as much as the outcome. In addition, students will have access to Lucy Bool’s Facebook group for support with their projects after they finish the workshop. Please let me know any dietary requirements in advance.

Badibidu is me, Cat Regi, a Sheffield-based artist who loves painting, creating repeat patterns, supporting antiperfection and celebrating Neurodiversity. You'll quickly guess that I love nature so in the garden scenes you'll find lots of identifiable plants and flowers, and the oceans come from growing up on the pebble beaches in Devon with my friends and family. Fun fact: Badibidu is how I said caterpillar when I was little 🐛
