About the Course
25th May is the last time this workshop will be delivered!
This is a hand embroidery, slow stitching workshop for all those people who need to escape from their everyday chaotic life for a day and completely lose themselves in this addictive hobby.Plenty of examples of stitched seascapes will be provided. You will be encouraged to create your own one off piece and design as you go.
Stitches can be as complicated as you want to make them but sometimes the simplest ones are the most effective. This is suitable for a complete beginner or the more advanced embroiderer. You will choose from several different types of prepared backgrounds and will embellish your design with buttons, dyed vintage lace and silk fabrics. At the end of the day you will take away a finished piece ready to frame.
Julie has taught for over 30 years and is a total Stitchaholic!
All workshops can be viewed and booked through the website at the top of the page.
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
What's included in the price?

really good teaching, on selecting a colour range in one piece of fabric "that you love" and choosing all the other pieces to incorporate into a seascape. Enjoyed learning new stitches, couching, wobbly french knots and bullion knots and experimenting freestyle with a range of thickness of texture of fabric.
