About the Course
Day 1 Eco Print course (26/7/17 or 10/8/17 )
Eco-print dyeing is a fascinating way of printing onto fabric. You will use flowers and leaves from the prairie garden, in a contact printing method that allows them to transfer their colour, texture and patterns. You will be fascinated by the effects and results you can get from a range of plants. This course is an exploration into the surprising and exciting effects that can be achieved just by wrapping plants in cloth.
It is vital that you book two days for this course. Your bundles will be left to dry naturally over time and the plants will gradually transfer their colour to the fabric and paper. You will make a good few bundles and can expect to have plenty of samples to use in future projects. Allow yourself to relax whilst your bundles bubble and dry off and try some rust dyeing on paper and fabric.
Day 2 Eco Print course (3/08/17 or 23/08/17)
Enjoy unwrapping your fabric bundles and swoon over each other’s samples. Discover the joys of Sun printing on paper and fabric before making some more bundles to take home to dry, store away and unwrap later in the summer.
