This one day workshop in lino cutting is designed for all levels of experience. We will be covering the basic cutting and printing techniques, all of which will be printed by hand, no specialist printing presses required.
The course is designed to cover the fundamentals of the black and white lino, but with exciting twists. We will look at how to add energy and unique effects to the lino prints, work with multiple layers of greys, and how we can work lino to be both expressive and bold.
By the end of the workshop you will have produced a series of unique prints. You will feel confident to carry on the processes in your own time and space. Workshop notes will be provided to aid with personal development. The course will have much focus on individual expression, so you will feel fulfilled and had much fun.
We will be working with oil based inks, but cleaned up with vegetable oil. No solvents. But please bring old clothes and gloves, such as washing up gloves, to protect hands. If you have some inspiration and ideas, please do bring them along. If not, not to worry, we work it all out!
Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 8 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.
All tools, and equipment is provided, and a buffet lunch is supplied by the wonderful Hub Community Cafe.
