About the Course

In the first part of the session, you will be introduced to the dyeing process and shown how to use both Dylon Dyes and Acid Dyes to select the colour/s you would like to create.

You will be dyeing Sinamay, a popular, natural Millinery material used to make both trimmings for hats and headdresses as well as complete hats.

In the second part of the session, you will be shown exemplars of simple leaves and flowers and through practical demonstration guided through how to use the Sinamay piece/s you dyed in the first part of the session.

If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above or telephone us. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.

What's included in the price?

All materials will be provided on this course.

There is an additional materials cost of £12 to cover the costs of the dyes and the Sinamay (please pay this in cash directly to the tutor on the day of the workshop).

Please bring an apron with you to protect your clothing and/or wear old clothes as the dyes can stain your clothes!

The Centre has parking facilities and a cafe for light refreshments at lunchtime and during any breaks.
