Explore drypoint printing with professional tuition from Annette Rolston. Learn a bit about the history of drypoint, look at Rembrandt and at other print reference books. Study the drypoint print and plates of the tutor and other professional printmakers. Transfer a drawing or reproduction A6 to A5 in scale. Trace through drypoint clear acetate material Use professional engraving tools to make a variety of marks, lines and dots to make your design. Learn how to create tonal areas. Learn to ink the plate with AKUA intaglio ink, and polishing and wiping methods to reveal your inked design. Print on an etching press onto dampened papers If time allows add chine colle (coloured 'collaged'areas) Browse another 11 craft studios and exhibitions in the complex
