The aim of the course is to give participants a basic introduction to dry stone walling. Content varies but concentrates on placing stone on stone will include some or all of dismantling a wall, digging out the foundations and relaying the wall up to the coping (top stones). It is held in the grounds of the Feild Studies Centre.
Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 4 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.
All tools are provided. Participants need to provide suitable work clothes, industrial gloves, steel toecap boots, warm clothes, waterproofs, sunhat, sunscreen, food and drink.
