Do you long to draw but are too frightened to start? This friendly taster is for you.
Class format and activities
This is a practical course and you will spend most of class time drawing at home. Your tutor will send you a information about the day's content by email before the session. The class will use Zoom for group discussions and for tutor explanations and demonstrations of techniques and materials. Your tutor will offer individual feedback by email or WhatsApp on any images of your work that you send.
Constructive and supportive feedback from your tutor will help you succeed during the class.
This is a short taster for complete beginners to drawing.
What you need to know before you enrol
This is an online course, offered during COVID-19 restrictions. It will be delivered using email and Zoom. You will need access to a personal device with internet and a camera, such as a computer, iPad or smartphone. A smart phone will be useful for photographing and sharing finished work. You will need to download software for Zoom prior to the first class (instructions and support will be sent to you by email).

What you will need
You will need your own materials. These should include: cartridge paper (e.g. a sketchbook), a range of pencils hard to soft e.g.- H, 2B and 6B, eraser, a sharpener, an eraser and a biro. Other materials such as willow charcoal, soft, coloured pencils and a brush and a bottle of ink are also useful if you have them.
