About the Course
4 Week Course - 25th April / 2nd/9th/16th May
In this 4 week course we will be practicing Observational drawing, basically drawing what you see in front of you. In translating 3D objects to 2D drawings on paper, we practice getting shapes and proportion right, we learn how to show depth with shading, and we try different techniques for showing texture and detail. We will also experiment drawing with different art materials, such as pencils, charcoals, crayons and fineliners.
- Experimenting with different drawing materials.
- Learning about proportion when drawing figures and hands.
- Drawing flowers from Observation.
- Learning about shading.
- Drawing everyday objects and sketching on the go.
- A still life will be set up in the studio for you to draw. This final week you will get to use all the skills that you have been taught from the previous weeks.
A fun and useful course, with drawing skills you can carry on developing for years to come.
