About the Course

Join artist Paul Patrick Fenner for a special one-day drawing and poetry workshop at Kettle’s Yard. In this workshop, you will draw in the House, looking at its relationship with twentieth-century poetry and create a collage monoprint.
The day will start with a look at artists including Matisse, Braque and Morandi and the poetry of Francis Ponge. Paul will then lead a tour of the House and teach you a variety of drawing exercises and approaches, studying the careful arrangement of objects and art, and the rhythms and correspondences connecting them. The second half of the day will be spent making monoprints and drawing from an assortment of objects.
You will create multiple drawings and make several prints during the workshop, working up to a final collage monoprint.
