Draw, Print and Paint (Drypoint Etching)

Draw, Print and Paint (Drypoint Etching)

Take drawings or photographs and turn them into fine art prints using very straightforward Drypoint Etching methods. Combine with painting techniques to create mixed media prints that can be exciting & dramatic and definitely original.

Suitable for all levels including absolute beginners, but improvers will be able to extend their knowledge. Great for people who can draw, but also good for those who need to work from photographs.

The materials cost will be an additional £7 cash payable to the tutor on the day.

Please note this workshop cost includes a booking and admin fee.

Please bring pencil, rubber and paper to sketch on. We will be working on A6 and A5 blocks and it would be good if you could bring a number of images to work from. As this is a reverse process, it would be very helpful if you could reverse your photos or pictures of your drawings and print them out in A6 and A5 sizes. (if not, you will be able to trace them on the day)

You will need an apron or wear old clothes, plus nitrile gloves.

If you have an Xcut Xpress (or can borrow one) please bring it along.

Refunds are not available on this booking. Start dates may be amended on request.

What's included in the price?

Cost includes tea/coffee and a light lunch.
