Draping on the Stand weekend Taster



If you want to learn how to drape fabric on the bias, this short taster course will provide the opportunity to learn the skills necessary to create glamorous and flattering styles . You will learn to use a dressmaker’s stand for this specialized process and to work with challenging fabrics. You will also learn how bias affects the shape of a garment and to understand how to achieve a proper fit. By the end of the course, you will have learned to use bias to create a fitted garment on the stand. Experience of draping, pattern cutting or using commercial patterns is useful, however both Intermediate & beginners level tasks can be set
